Question 2

Design a React-JS application where a Parent Component passes company data (company name, industry, and number of employees) as props to a Child Functional Component.

  • Use prop-types in the child component to validate all the props.

CompanyDetails.jsx

jsx
import React from "react";
import PropTypes from "prop-types";

function CompanyDetails({ name, industry, employees }) {
  return (
    <div className="company-details">
      <h2>{name}</h2>
      <p><strong>Industry:</strong> {industry}</p>
      <p><strong>Number of Employees:</strong> {employees}</p>
    </div>
  );
}

// PropTypes validation
CompanyDetails.propTypes = {
  name: PropTypes.string.isRequired,
  industry: PropTypes.string.isRequired,
  employees: PropTypes.number.isRequired,
};

export default CompanyDetails;

App.jsx

jsx
import React from "react";
import CompanyDetails from "./Company";

function App() {
  const companyData = {
    name: "TechCorp",
    industry: "Software Development",
    employees: 12,
  };

  return (
    <div>
      <h1>Company Information</h1>
      <CompanyDetails
        name={companyData.name}
        industry={companyData.industry}
        employees={companyData.employees}
      />
    </div>
  );
}

export default App;
